Finished one each of the "Sleeps til Santa" calenders. Kids think they are ready to start the countdown - hope not yet! One job down several more to do.
Had a great morning - here are Mickey & Minnie to put on the bedroom doors. Also done a full snowwhite to make into a birthday card for my daughter's 3rd birthday, she took one look and said yuk!! Oh well that's what she's getting.
I got my christmas present from my husband last night. A Cricut Expression! Got the Disney Happily Ever After Cart and Mickey & Friends. Had a quick play last night and made Snowwhite from the book. Think she has turned out quite well - bit fiddly and not sure about the eyes but I'm sure with practise it will get better. Going to do a Mickey & Minnie Head for the kids bedroom doors today. Then next project is a birthday card for my daughter - will be a disney princess!
I've finally started making my Christmas Cards, really late this year - normally they are all done by this time. Have all the bits and pieces it's now a case of putting it all together. Here are the first ones I've made - the embossed tree idea I saw on UKS and have copied the idea, the other two are made using my sugar nellie stamps.
The end of the year seems to be a busy time of year for birthdays for our family. Must get a move on and get my cards made!
These are two I've made this week. Received my first parcel from joining a Stamping Up Stampers 10. This set will be great for those men who I never know what to do for. The card was made very quickly, but looks cute - will practise more to perfect the design!
It's my nephew's first birthday next week, so it will be a very special day for him. Made this lion card with one of the new Sugar Nellie stamps.
Well - kids have enjoyed halloween this year, it seems to have gone on for days with parties on Wed, Thurs, Fri and 2 today. Had great intentions on what I was going to make for them this year, but time has dissappeared and only made 4 very quick halloween cards. Ordered two magnolia stamps - the vampire and witch with spider - unfortunately the witch was out of stock and hasn't arrived yet so will keep it for next year when it does arrive. Here's the card I did get around to making.
Finally got round to updating the blog - may try and put a few things on over the next few days.
Heres the advent boxes I've made - both my kids have quilted ones which I put little presents in, but they do love a chocolate so this is the solution. Each drawer has a dairy milk miniature in it.
Just had a look through my calender and it looks like everyone has a birthday between now and the end of the year. I've made a list of cards I need and have made this one for my son's friend whos birthday is on Monday. The image is SK8R boy by Sugar Nellie which I borrowed from a friend. Think he will feature in quite a few of the boys cards. Have to go and see whos next!
A quick card for my son to give to his swimming teacher as she moves on to University. I've used a magnolia stamp from the summer collection and coloured it with my promarkers (not quite up to them yet, but will keep practising!) Paper is from a stack by DCWV.
Just heard my friend has reached 30 years in her job so thought she deserved a card!
Used my sugar nellie "sweet and sassy" stamp coloured with my watercolour pencils.

Had to make a Christening card for cousin's baby, of course couldn't find anything in my stash to use so treated myself to this Penny Black stamp. Has turned out OK and think the stamp may have many uses!!

Made this last night using my first Magnolia stamp. When I saw the stamp I knew it would be ideal for making a card for my son to give his teacher at the end of term. For once I'm early with making it and now need to find the words of a poem I found last year which I thought was appropriate.
